Amanda Vermeulen is the Asia Pacific editor of eFinancialCareers, and is based in Sydney. Amanda has worked in media for more than two decades as an award-winning journalist, editor and television producer. She has extensive international experience, having worked in Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, the Middle East and Australia. Amanda has an undergraduate degree from the University of Cape Town and a postgraduate qualification from Rhodes University, both in South Africa.
Simon Mortlock works in the London office of eFinancialCareers as commissioning and marketing editor. He also writes news articles about the job market in Asia, having been based at eFinancialCareers in Singapore for five years. Simon has degrees in Law and History from the University of Auckland, as well as a post-graduate diploma in Journalism
Sarah Butcher is the UK-based editor at large of eFinancialCareers and writes widely for the English language sites. Prior to joining eFinancialCareers full time, Sarah wrote weekly pieces on hiring and pay for Financial News. She has also written for the Financial Times, the Independent, the Telegraph and the Sunday Times. Sarah is a graduate in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
Paul Clarke is news editor at eFinancialCareers in London. He writes for the UK and EMEA English-language sites covering investment banking, asset management, hedge funds and technology in banking. Before joining eFinancialCareers, Paul spent six years working for various titles within Financial Times’ business publishing division and two years working for specialist publisher Hedge Fund Intelligence. He has a degree in Journalism, Film and Broadcasting from Cardiff University.
Beecher Tuttle, based in New York, is the editor for eFinancialCareers’ North American site. Beecher came to eFinancialCareers from FINS.com, a career-focused editorial website formerly owned by the Wall Street Journal. eFinancialCareers bought the FINS property in September 2012. Prior to joining FINS and eFinancialCareers, Beecher covered technology and healthcare beats for a number of publications and even worked as a recruiter. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Florian Hamann is responsible for the German-language websites of eFinancialCareers, writing mainly about the financial job markets in Germany and Switzerland. Florian studied Philosophy, History and Business Administration in Berlin, Fribourg (Switzerland) and Paris, and holds a MA and a PhD. He also passed a two-year training programme in journalism at the Oldenburgische Volkszeitung in the 1990s and went on to publish articles in the Berliner Zeitung and Die Welt. Before joining eFinancialCareers, Florian worked as a personal assistant to the head of communications of a major German engineering company and as an editor and website manager of the German financial website, boerse.de.
Julia Lemarchand is the editor of eFinancialCareers.fr. She joined eFC in London in 2006 and moved back home to Paris in 2011. Julia holds a Master’s degree in Political Sociology from Sciences Po Paris and has written for various French daily newspapers like Le Monde, Le Figaro and La Tribune. Before joining eFC, she also spent two years making regular contributions to Le Journal du Dimanche, a Sunday newspaper, and La Vie, a weekly news magazine.
