A Wednesday evening workshop on personal brand image and interviewing techniques for women over 50 tops our latest compilation of low-cost and free events of interest to professionals in transition. All the following events take place in New York City.

The Transition Network offers a series of workshops for women over 50, presented by coaches from the Career Counselors Consortium.

Wednesday, July 8, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. "Present your Best Self," with Barbara Frankel. Reserve by July 5 (required). Admission: $55 per workshop. The New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA) presents an all-day, members only program of career workshops and individual coaching focused on creating compelling resumes, interviewing, and other aspects of the self-marketing and job-search process.

Thursday, July 9, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Career Day. NYSSA members only; pre-registration required. Admission: $25 per workshop, $75 per session of individual coaching. NYSSA, 1177 Avenue of the Americas (between 45th and 46th Streets), 2nd Floor. Information: (212) 541-4530 or see www.nyssa.org.

NYSSA hosts a "Career Chat" panel one evening each month.

The New York Public Library offers free programs on career management and job-search topics, at its various branches in Manhattan and the outer boroughs.
