The 2013 analyst classes are now assembled at banks in London. Helpfully, banks have been registering their new hires with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), thereby letting the world know precisely who they’ve taken on.

We’ve trawled through the new registrations to bring you some of the most interesting examples of this year’s recruits.

As with Goldman Sachs’ new analyst class, there are some common features –  and these hold across Barclays and RBS. A lot of people have studied economics and maths. A lot are straight A students. A lot have completed multiple internships. Many of them have participated in college finance societies. One of them won an eFinancialCareers Investment Challenge. Only Barclays has studied an ex-professional DJ from London’s Ministry of Sound nightclub, however.
