Are employers still offering relocation benefits to persons with the credentials and qualifications for their prospective job interest?

I'm willing to relocate but could use help with expenses.

  • This depends on the level of job, the individual employer, and how badly they want you. If you are unable to negotiate relocation benefits, perhaps you can negotiate a signing bonus to cover at least part of the costs. Some great resources for preparing for a negotiation with an employer include Jack Chapman's "Negotiating Your Salary" and Pinkley & Northcraft's "Get Paid What Your Worth." "Guerilla Marketing for Job Hunters" also has a chapter with some great tips and a comprehensive check list. Good luck!
