I am a senior software engineer looking for a tech related role in the finance industry. Would a CFA help

I am a senior software engineer at a reputed silicon valley firm with 5 years of experience in java programming. I am trying to move into the finance industry by finding a tech related role at a hedge fund or a large bank. Would a CFA Level 1 or 2 add value to my resume.
