Which is better:Settlements job at Blackrock or derivative accounting/admin at Citi.Any thoughts?

Im currently working in settlements at Citi but they are moving the team to Warsaw so need to choose between the two jobs above. I have received an offer from both. Im looking to start an MBA next year and I have recently passed the first level of the CFA so the job will only be short term until i can find something more worthy.

  • Lets be clear, both jobs are terrible. If your going back to school next year for sure, then who cares? If you had to choose, I would take the position at Citi. There is nothing lower then Settlements, unfortunately, so you may have a better chance at spinning the "derivatives" component of the other position.
