Are middle office roles (eg trading assistant) a good step towards working in the front office?

  • It really depends on the situtation. Traditionally they are, but we are no longer in a traditional time.

  • Yes, that is the only and best step to move to a front office job unless you graduated with a 5.0 out of 4.0 from a top school and were hired directly to be groomed as a trader.
