help.. I have a BS in Engineering and have worked in Operations/Back Office for 3 years and I want to move to the Trading Desk or an Analytical Role.

  • When pigs fly or someone in the front office notices your exceptional talent. My suggestion, go to B-School or get a masters in Financial Engineering and apply to the graduate programs.

  • I wouldnt bet on the CFA geting you anywhere. i was in a similar situation as you, MSc in applied maths but stuck in operations. Thought the CFA would help but...it didnt. Im now heading to Business school for an MBA. Lets see if an MSc / MBA / CFA combo can get me a better job
