British, no degree, 9 years experience in finance, UK finance qualifications, Could i work in USA?

I have lots of varied experience in UK Finance and operate at a relatively senior level. I've got financial planning and investment management qualifications and am studying for CFA Level 1. Have I got a hope in hell of moving to USA?

  • Forget about it. Given the huge immigration restrictions I would recommend Australia or Canada.

  • Stick to working in your local high street bank.

  • well, I don't work in a local high street bank, I work in asset management and represent the UK in Brussels and lobby the British regulators and government and despite my lack of qualifications, earn a hell of a lot of money. so kiss my ass, honest joe of the USA!
