Institutional Sales Trader who left the biz in late '06 now looking to get back in?
Left the biz to take care of some family matters (terminally ill relative) in 2006. Was formerly a Senior Associate in sales & trading at very large i-bank. Now Im looking at all the carnage to go around and wondering what chances I have to get back in. Im realistic, not exactly looking to pick up exactly where i left off (and honestly, not interested in sales any more), so im thinking of middle-office or trading assistant position. Do i stand any chance given the big gap in employment (though, for very good reasons)?
