  • You open your Word Document and click on edit then click on select all, copy, cut, and paste.

  • Watch out that there aren't any bullet points, numbers, tables, or other types of special characters in your word resume. A lot of web sites don't know how to treat these characters and your resume ends up garbled when you submit it.

  • You should not cut and paste. In most of the website, the pasted text would lose its formatting and become difficult to read. I would rather make a seperate "plain text" version of my resume. It is very simple but you can search online to find guidelines to make plain text resumes. Maintain both word and text versions seperately.
