I am good with C++/MFC and C#. Should I try to break into the financial industry at this time or wait out?

Answer this questionIf you are good and want to take a risk for those highly paid jobs, yes, go ahead. Don't wait. IT jobs in Financial institutions have low beta and are more stable than core finance areas.

Although it's counter-intuitive, now may be the best time as some in the financial industry make an exit with the tough times. It has happened in the US in 2002.
