I am good with C++/MFC and C#. Should I try to break into the financial industry at this time or wait out?

  • There are too many resumes floating in the market at present. Even though there is always a demand for good people but may be this is not the best of the times to get into Financial Sector....

  • If you are good and want to take a risk for those highly paid jobs, yes, go ahead. Don't wait. IT jobs in Financial institutions have low beta and are more stable than core finance areas.

  • Although it's counter-intuitive, now may be the best time as some in the financial industry make an exit with the tough times. It has happened in the US in 2002.
