i have 4 yrs exp in equity trading,want to move to IT.any advice
Pls advice me considering my present experience as front office trading in equities & derivatives.

Well if you still have your job you should keep it till they cut you, the IT job market is pretty bad now and will be for awhile. Not sure what sort of IT you want to get into but if its anything except trading support type positions you will need some sort of training. But first figure out what you want to get into, IT is very broad. Then take whatever certifications apply to that position and keep training till someone hires you at entry level. Be advised the pay will probably be pathetic at first and this process may take a long time. If its trading support then its much easier, get certifications for whatever platform/software you are using currently and you should be all set.
