What is Capital Introduction under Prime Brokerage? How is the career prospect?

Capital Introduction is a hedge fund marketing job, isn't it? Does it require any fund analysis skills? Some say CI has come under some scrutiny and may go away completely due to conflicts of interests. Is that true? Thank you!
