To be in engineering, or to be in finance? Please advice, urgent!

I got MS in Eng just started working as a Quant Analyst for a small financial firm. I want to do high frequency / automatic trading in the future/ultimately. However, I just got an offer from an Eng company paying 50% more than what I get now. How right / wrong am I to accept this Eng offer b/c i need fast cash soon? If I except the Eng offer, how easy would it be for me to switch to finance later after getting an MBA or MFE? Also considering that the finance market sucks now. Thz

  • Unless you actually WANT to do engineering, it is a wast of time for you to change fields for a short term gain in salary.
