Is there any value to taking the Series 3 Exam? I see no job postings asking for it.

Answer this questionUsually your company will ask you to take it, especially if you are trading futures for either customers or for the principal account. If for some reason there is a problem (customer or otherwise) and it turned out you were unlicensed, the firm would get in trouble. It is not a particularly difficult exam.

My series 3 has done more for me than my bachelor's degree.

Well, it's all relative. The value of the Series 3 license really depends upon whether or not one is interested in trading commodities/futures on behalf of one's clients. If the aim is simply to enhance one's resume, then a principal exam might be more appropriate (e.g, 4, 24, 53, etc.).

The Series 3 exam allows an advisor to earn commission by trading commodities for their clients or selling managed futures.
