Would it be possible for a VP-level MBS trader displaced by the current crisis to land on a commodities desk?
Looking to move away from the embattled mortgage backed arena into commodities. I understand there is a big demand for traders in oil, metals and other commodities. Any chance for someone with 6+ years of structured product trading/transaction management experience and quant finance/applied math degree to get into a junior trader position on a commodities desk?
