My feeling is that its more stable than IB at the moment….anyone know any info on salary+bonus expectations/ career development from a relatively junior level, managing relationships with mid-cap to large corporates?

Don’t know what they pay now, but it will be considerably less than FO in IB. However, I and many of my colleagues and friends started in corporate banking. We’ve all generally made the transition to IB and are all doing pretty well. A couple of us are doing very, very well in terms of seniority and seven figure packages (not me, sadly!). So, with competition what it is, corp banking is not a bad place to start and opportunities should present themselves if you work hard and you’re lucky.
total comp prob around 150k as i understand. Not mega bucks, but its a fun job and also fairly cushy hours. its not a bad starting point as a junior, especially in this mkt.
