Question: Why do we work for banks? Is anyone grateful for their position in the industry for reasons beyond the money?

Most days not even the thought of the next pay day is enough to stop me wanting to chuck it all in
everyone has their own utility and satisfaction function .. dont worry about others or their choices .. decide for your ownself .. i like the money a lot but after a while money is not what drives people .. i actually look forward to showing up to work and do what i do ..

There is no a perfect job, full of money, wonderful colleagues, plenty of promotions, bosses who become life friends…
Banking it is a very demanding job, and sometimes can be hard to be at the same role years, but what I find unfair it is the high job volatility ratio that it is increasing during the last decade (even before the crisis in 2007). What it is true is that becoming a managing director after 12 years in bank is something from the past, I am afraid…

Lets be honest people it is the money the that made you want to do this.
Money only. If banking was not paying so well it would be an incredibly boring career choice.
