definitely worth trying in your situation – nothing worse that having to do a monkey job in BO after pushing yourself for a good few years to get a degree.
try
have nothing to lose
GOOD LUCK
The answer from “arniejunior” is based on the premise that back office jobs are so bad that anything else is worth trying for. Personally I don’t agree with that. I suppose the answer depends on who will be reviewing the applications for the graduate program – most HR types I know will probably reject you automatically (no harm in trying, though). You might be better off going for an internal transfer, assuming you are doing well where you are and you have a good boss. Without knowing which area you want to be in, though, any answers here will be limited.
Taking into consideration that IBs dont recognise these prop firms, FTC Group,Schneider Trading Associates, TCA Markets, MET Traders etc…My concern here is even if some or most of these firms charge high amounts for 3-4 months training, will I be in a position to get a salaried job in any decent firm in the financial sector post this training. Would the financial instituions, banks, funds etc be interested in me onto their junior permanent roles or graduate positions….As I wrote afore, I completed my MSc last year in november; toook some time off post my degree and am working in a direct marketing firm as a team leader/trainee manager since April 2008. I am not happy with what am doing…What are or would be my prospects post that training OR what do you suggest I should be doing?????
