Use the following excuses to get the days off to go in for interviews: ‘i got a dentists appointment’, ‘can i work from home tomorrow’, ‘the boiler is broken and the man is coming round to fix it’, ‘i got a belly ache’, ‘my wife left me’, ‘my gradma died’, ‘i fell over last nite n my foot hurts too much so can’t come in’, ‘my nan needs to go hospital and i need to translate for her cz she’s polish’, ‘someone knocked me out at the footy last nite and the doc told me to rest for today’…i could go on all day. Use ur imagination. And remember, the unconventional ones are always the best cz they catch the boss off guard. and also try keep it as personal as possible so they don’t ask too many questions. plz don’t try ‘i found out last nite my girl friend is a prostitute and i’ve got warts’ becz to my detriment i was sent for councelling. goodluck

Invite your boss to some kind of event that you know he would hate, and when he decines take the day off.

i said in the past that the doctor suggested i do tests for glandular fever…try sleeping one night with the window open you will look like sh*t and probably have a fever…then as you get better tell them what the doctor said. this means you can take as much time off as you need because there is no cure for it…just rest
