Only people in equities and fixed income will earn more this year

If you thought you were going to earn lots of money this year on the back of a single good quarter, you may be wrong. At least, Alan Johnson, of New York pay consultancy Johnson Associates, thinks so. For reasons given in the table below, he thinks only equities bankers, fixed income bankers, and senior management will see any increase in their pay this year. Everyone else will get less.

  1. +30% YoY for FI derivs? I hope to be getting a damn site more than that! My bonus last year fell from 6 figures as an analyst to 5 figures as an associate!!!

    if your bank gets taken over before the end of the year then the most you can expect is a 4 figure bonus.

  3. FI Trader… I hope the only thing you get is a redundancy package… your FI deriv products are absolutely useless…
