Hello everyone. I want to work as a marketing analyst/exec and although I’m told that in terms of experience at my current position my CV is strong, but most firms are looking for people with experience in excess of one year (with RFP writing as a specific skill being mentioned fairly often) and they also don’t understand the transition from property to finance!
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like you’ve made the transition to finance quite successfully, and you are well on your way to where you want to be. What you need now is patience; I recommend you stay in your current role for at least six more months and ideally another year. By that time the market should have picked up and you will be taken more seriously with two years finance experience.
Oh, and avoid using words like “foresightedness”! I’m not sure if it’s a real word, but even if it is, it has no place on a CV. Best of luck.
Good CV for Corporate Finance. As above stay the course. Its a pleasant life, remuneration is very acceptable, and it means that unlike some areas..you get a life as well as hours are fairly traditional 8-6
Go U.S Company wise they tend to require less in the way of relevant academic qualifications
Try contacting some others that took the MA course, rather than the MSc, and now work in finance/investment based roles.
I would recommend you stick to your current job for at least 1 more year, if I would receive this CV now I would think that you are a rather instable person, trying to change job 9-10 months after you did a major career change (not just change company). The fact that you managed the transition from real estate to finance is a good signal in term of skills for a prospective employer, learn to be patient however (except if you think that you will be fired over the next 6 months for whatever reason)
If you stick with it the move will come. Gain some more experience in your current role. Maybe another year or so then look for a move.
I tend to agree with the other contributors who recommend you stay in your current role for at least another year to show that you are committed to this area. Regarding your CV for use at a later date, including some select achievements in a bulleted section after your profile will gain the recipient’s attention quicker, it would also benefit your CV by rewriting these to be more dynamic ie; ‘Ability to spot commercial potential by identifying criteria that indicates high-growth prospects’. It sound punchier and is easier for the reader to spot the value you can bring to their organisation. As you develop further in your career your education can be moved to the back of your CV as your career history will be of more interest to recruiters. Good luck!
